How do I add a local number to my account?

Thanks for the help on adding a second toll free number. Is it that easy to add a local number? What would I have to do to get one of those? Does it have to be in my area code (local to me) or can it be some place a little closer to my "target audience", if you know what I mean?

It is almost as easy to add a local number as it is to add a toll-free number. We have a large inventory of them, and if the one you want is not in the inventory, it only takes a few days (generally fewer than 5 business days) to add to the selection.

All you have to do is contact us (email is fastest) and let us know. They cost the same $4.95 as any other additional line, and we do need to have your agreement to pay for it in writing. Then we take care of adding it to your account, and send another email to let you know which number we have assigned to your auto-attendant. I hope this helps!
