How do I repeat a menu

Postby Main+cjcarr50 on Tue Nov 27, 2007 7:23 pm

Thanks! That helps (and makes sense).

Is there a way you can set the timeout to just repeat the same menu? For example, when people dial in and hear my initial menu they have 7 choices. If the select nothing after hearing all 7 I would like the menu to repeat itself.

Also - Can I set it up where they can press a button to "repeat menu"?

Chris,

Under each menu's properties you can choose how many times a menu repeats. It is not desirable to have a menu timeout to itself as it would be playing as long as a caller is connected to your plan. If somebody called you and left the receiver of the hook then you could have a call lasting multiple hours. Trust me, this does happen. The better way to give a caller time to press a key is to have a recording in your menu that repeats several times.

You can certainly have a keypress that repeats the same menu. This is also better that timeout repeats since it requires the caller to actively press a key.

Ciao,

Jennifer
