Business Locator Gives Business Locations, Phone Numbers, More

What could your small business do with 14 million businesses throughout the United States directly at its fingertips? I don’t know either, but you’ll now have the opportunity to find out with Business Locator.

Business Locator works with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad; indeed, any iOS device packing at least iOS 4.3 or later will do the job, and the app has even been specifically optimized for the iPhone 5, so those with the newest iPhone will get the fullest use from it with this app.

The app itself, meanwhile, provides an extensive array of information about various businesses. Not only do users get access to the 14 million businesses in the United States that the app promises, but they’ll be separated into fully 12,000 different categories of business. The listings have been verified to ensure their accuracy, and can even be separated out by GPS location if it’s available at the time. Additionally, for those users with electronic compasses, they can be brought into the fray as well. It has multiple levels of search capability, and has a recently improved means to show directions.

Basically, it’s opening up the opportunity to get access to an enormous array of businesses, which for businesses, might as well be the same thing as handing them a target sheet. Businesses have incredible opportunities with something like this: potential clients, potential suppliers, and a way to study competitors are all put readily into the business’ hand from just one simple app. There are an almost obscene number of possibilities for an app like this, and while each possibility may not be available for every business, it will certainly bear consideration especially when the price of the app–a whopping nothing–is considered. Marketing use, sales use, market research use…having access to this many names, numbers, addresses and more from one app is a possibility not to take lightly.

Of course, just having access to a massive amount of business listings alone won’t make or break a business by itself. But having a set of cloud-based telephony tools, like call answering services and find-me follow-me systems, will make it much easier to not only get a hold of your business, but make sure that the best person to answer a call is always on hand.

Still, by itself, Business Locator provides a wide array of possibilities for the astute small business user and may well be a product that some will be hard pressed to do without.
