SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 20 — Halloo
Communications, a leading provider of hosted communications services,
launches its new WebCall service. Halloo WebCall enables users to
place and receive calls via the Internet to connect traditional,
non-VoIP telephones.
To promote awareness of the new service, Halloo is offering free
WebCall Promo accounts with 60 minutes of live talk time per month to
new customers located in the US. Registered users can post HTML
“Call-Me” buttons into their web sites, email signatures,
or social networking profile pages. Callers click on the link to open
a popup where they enter their phone number. The Halloo system calls
that number, connecting them to the WebCall subscriber.
Halloo business customers have been relying on the Halloo platform
to dynamically forward calls for years. With Halloo WebCall, they now
have a more direct method of soliciting telephone inquiries from
emails, online classified ads, and web pages. Subscribers also enjoy
the flexibility of being able to make and receive calls from their
personal home or mobile telephone numbers without disclosing those
numbers to vendors or customers.
“Halloo is a known innovator. Our web applications have
differentiated us from the competition, in any market we’ve
pursued,” explained CEO and founder, Jim Li. “WebCall will
expose a wider audience to Halloo and spread the use of Internet
enhanced communications in personal and business applications.”
All current Halloo customers have Click-to-Call included with their
service. For new customers, Halloo is offering a free promotional plan
that gives subscribers 60 minutes of live talk time with the new
feature. These minutes can be used for inbound or outbound
calls. When these minutes are used up during the month, subscribers
will still be able to receive voicemail from their callers. For a mere
$4.95/month, subscribers can upgrade to the WebCall Live plan with a
low per minute rate.
